Bali, a tourist heaven for decades, is in Indonesia. The island is the country’s 33 province which also covers a few small neighbouring islands. Its Capital city is Denpasar.
The population of the island is over 3 million. Unlike Indonesia, the inhabitants here embrace Balinese Hinduism because they belong to Indonesian ethnic minority of Hindu. Balinese are good for arts and dancing. Their talents are recognized by all visitors to the island. The popular song “Bengawan Solo” and “ Boat Song” are familiar to the people worldwide. In addition, its dances such as Gamelan, Baris, Keoak , Barong and Kris Dance are all very well-known to the whole world.
We went to Bali via Brunei by Royal Brunei Airline. Upon our arrival , we were accommodated in Holiday Inn. On the next day, we followed the Tour Guide to visit the whole island including Batu Bulan, Goa Gajah, Kintamani, Tanah Lot, and Sanur Beach.
Balinese here enjoyed an easy and simple life. We were told that their lifestyle was always related to a tripartite concept that include spirtual relationship between human and God, and their environment. Hence, there was no impact on Balinese culture, tradition and lifestyle.
We like very much its picturesque landscape of hills and mountains, rugged coastlines and sandy beaches, deeply spiritual and unique Balinese culture that claim to be the paradise on earth.
