World Heritage Village

the landscape there is really picturesque.
The design of Hongcun is completely in conformity with Chinese Fengshui.
It is a buffalo-shape village which is very environmental friendly.
Hongcun(宏村) is an old village near Yellow Mountain(Huangsan, 黃山). It has been declared by UNESCO as the World Heritage. Its classical buildings, architecture and decoration, particularly the unique water supply system, have aroused the greatest interest of visitors. In addition, this is the place full of Chinese Fengshui(華人風水) stories. It is called “A Village in Chinese Painting”( 中國畫里的鄉村) because the landscape there is really picturesque. The design of this village is completely in conformity with Chinese Fengshui. It appearance looks like a buffalo-shape which is very environmental friendly. There are more than 100 old houses there plus two ponds, namely Moon Pond(月沼) and South Lake(南湖).

We visited this Fengshui village after our Yellow Mountain(Huangsan黃山)Tour. At the same time, we also visited several Anhui Classical Villages(安徽古村落) such as Wuyan(婺源),Lee Hang(李坑), Wangkou(汪口)、and Shawhee(曉起).
